The Sierra Vista Unified School District (SVUSD) and Buena High school are proud to offer the Klein Center for the Performing Arts as a gathering place for students and the Cochise County community. This unique facility was opened in 1992 along with Buena High School and since has played host to everything from gubernatorial debate to international dance companies. The Klein Center contains three performance venues: a 896-1308 seat main facility featuring a 1,600 square foot stage, a 206 seat little theatre/recital hall and a 200 seat lecture facility.
Each day, the Klein Center and it's staff are devoted to the support and expansion of curricular arts education at Buena High School and throughout SVUSD. During a school day music and theatre students bring their learning to life on stage through performace, technical trianing, and hands-on creativity. In addition, the facility provides an opportunity for student growth through extra-curricular classes, on the job training and a diverse schedule of outside productions.
On July 10, 2018, the SVUSD Governing Board unanimously approved the renaming of the Buena PAC to the Klein Center for the Performing Arts honoring William “Rick” and Margaret Klein for their combined 97 years of dedication and service to the youth and community of Sierra Vista.
The Klein Center is a learning as well as performing arts complex. The facility accommodates classroom learning experiences and school performances as well as civic and professional events. The facility operates under the philosophy that students are integral to its success.
